Thomas Helm<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thomas Helm is the founder and managing partner of Eurasian Management Solutions GmbH and worked for more than five years as head of the foreign office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in Kazakhstan until 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The social scientist and economist (University of M\u00fcnster) has been active in the political and pre-political sphere for around 25 years, including 11 years as an adviser and working group leader in the CDU\/CSU parliamentary group, more than 5 years in political consulting (public affairs) and strategic communication for and in companies and 3 years as national director of the Association of Christian Democratic Students. He also has more than a decade of experience in local politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The thematic focus of his work lies in \u200b\u200beconomic transformation, energy and resource policy, foreign and security policy as well as regional development. Thomas has many years of experience in project management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2021 Thomas has been chairman of the German-Kazakh Society based in Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marat Idrissov<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Marat Idrissov<\/strong> has been a director of Kazakhstan Institute of Industry Development LLP since 2019. As part of his work with state organizations (Presidential Administration, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministries of Industry and Infrastructure Development, Energy, National Economy, Finance, etc.) many initiatives have been implemented, including the creation of an industrial development fund; state program for industrial and innovative development for 2019-2025; investment project of German company CLAAS; development of trade collaboration between Central Asian countries, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His main professional focus is mechanical engineering and consultancy services in this area. Marat was educated both in Kazakhstan and in Germany in mechanical engineering and production economics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has experience in management and consultancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Dr. Muslim Khassenov<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Dr. Muslim Khassenov<\/strong> is a partner in the law firm Novo Integro in Astana and Dubai, a professor of labor and social law at M.S. Narikbayev KAZGUU University. After obtaining his doctorate in Kazakhstan, he conducted research on labor law at Goethe University in Frankfurt. Muslim is the author of several academic monographs on labor, commercial, and economic law published by the prestigious publishing house Wolters Kluwer. From 2013 to 2016, Muslim worked as deputy head of the management staff and advisor to the Chairman of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus of his legal work is on labor and social law, commercial and contract law, as well as media and cyber law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Torsten Thieme<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Torsten Thieme<\/strong> is a multilingual expert in the fields of digitalization transformation, financial services, rail logistics, supply chain management, and risk management with more than 10 years of experience in Central Asia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has actively participated in multi-million dollar projects of the national company “Kazakhstan Railways”. In addition, Torsten has carried out digitalization projects for large organizations such as ministries of finance, banks, and transport companies in Germany, Austria,  Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan. From 2011 to 2019, Torsten served as a senior manager and director of technology consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Torsten is co-founder and Managing Director of ThiemeBieg & Associates GmbH, a consulting agency, providing services in logistics, organizational risk management, supply-chain management, and business digitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u00f6rg Andreas Dinkelaker<\/strong> has been living and working in Kazakhstan since 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u00f6rg Dinkelaker is an agricultural engineer who has been carrying out consulting projects for the private sector, government clients, and NGOs in Central Asia and Africa for over 20 years. His clients include the GIZ, the World Bank, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the OSCE, and, in Kazakhstan, companies like KazAgro and Agricultural Credit Company (AKK), as well as private agricultural companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His consulting focus lies in the areas of agricultural projects, agricultural and environmental policy, the development of agricultural companies, energy projects, and development policy. He has carried out projects in Germany, Tajikistan, Russia, Romania, Ethiopia, and Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yerbol Abdikhalil <\/strong>has studied Information Systems and e-Business Management in Hong Kong and Morocco. As a part of his previous job, he has conducted market studies utilizing software solutions such as web scraping and data visualization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yerbol is a recipient of the Sur-Place local scholarship from Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) given to students participating in the socio-political life of the country and having an active life position. As an alumnus of the program, he has worked as an intern in the Kazakhstani office of the KAS, supporting the core team in projects on the economic transformation and digitalization in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Islam Bairamov<\/strong> studied International Relations in Kazakhstan and earned a Master\u2019s degree in Human Resource Management in Spain. He has experience working in both political and business environments, including involvement with the Amanat party and international companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He later transitioned into entrepreneurship, launching projects in the hospitality sector and in local community development. Islam is a Sur-Place scholarship holder of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and is actively engaged in civic initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Azerbaijani Ethno-Cultural Association, Islam organizes cultural and educational activities aimed at fostering dialogue and interethnic cooperation in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdel Mottaleb Mokhammed<\/strong> is an international lawyer specializing in cross-border insolvency and private international law. He holds a Bachelor\u2019s and LL.M. in International Law from M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on liability in cross-border insolvency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has over four years of experience and currently serves as a Senior Manager at Kazakh Invest, working on investor protection, investment policy, and bilateral agreements. Previously, he was a Junior Associate at TKS Disputes, focusing on legal research and dispute-related documentation across multiple jurisdictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside his professional work, Abdel Mottaleb Mokhammed is engaged in academia as a lecturer and researcher in private international law. He has also gained experience at KPMG Law Kazakhstan, the Union of Judges, and the AIFC Court. He is a scholarship recipient and a top-10 speaker at the PAX Moot Competition. Fluent in Kazakh and Russian, with strong proficiency in English and Arabic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daryn Yeltay <\/strong>is a financial markets specialist focused on European power markets, with expertise in energy economics, trading, and market surveillance. He oversees derivatives trading, analyzes market data, and supports the development of new trading products and systems, emphasizing automation, pricing optimization, and internal controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He holds an MSc in Economics and Finance from Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences. His experience includes market surveillance at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange and teaching microeconomics. Fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English, he also speaks German. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His experience includes managing schedules, budgets, contractors, technical documentation, and client communication, as well as contributing to solar projects that achieved measurable CO2 reductions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He holds master\u2019s degrees in electrical engineering and photovoltaics from Satbayev University and was a stipend of Erasmus + and studied Photovoltaics system engineering at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Germany). Fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English, he brings cross-cultural experience and leadership to complex energy and infrastructure projects in Central Asia and international markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gulim Ibraimova<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Gulim Ibraimova<\/strong> graduated with a degree in Journalism in Kazakhstan. She began her career as a PR and marketing manager in the fashion industry, where she organised large-scale sales events in 11 cities across the country. Responsible for the full marketing strategy in each city, she worked with local media, bloggers, social media, outdoor advertising, and partnerships to attract large audiences and drive high-traffic retail events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She later joined BI Group, a leading international construction holding and real estate developer. In addition, she collaborated with companies across various sectors as a marketing manager and consultant, managing campaigns that reached multi-million audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two years ago, Gulim moved to Hamburg, where she has contributed to a social media campaign for a mayoral candidate for the local elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2025.

Gulim is a Sur-Place Scholarship holder of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas Ruhland<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thomas Ruhland<\/strong> studied law in Freiburg, completed his legal traineeship (Referendariat), and passed the Second State Examination in Berlin. After his first professional position at the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, he worked for more than 15 years as in-house legal counsel at the housing construction company Berlin-Friedrichshain. Since 2006, he has been practicing as a lawyer in a joint office at the law firm Dr. K\u00f6hler und Partner, located in Berlin\u2019s central district of Berlin-Mitte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For over 20 years, he has been delivering specialized lectures on real estate management in Eastern European countries. His practice focuses on general civil law, immigration law, and property law. The law firm also provides comprehensive advice on tax law and offers tax advisory services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
